| Abstract: | Within the work of sports journalists, the narration of sporting events, the transmission of
emotions and the connection with audiences stand out, but, above all, maintaining impartial
and unbiased discourses, regardless of whether they have an identification or affinity for one
team or another. Sports narratives run the risk of being influenced by these preferences,
therefore, this study sought to determine whether the narrative discourses of sports journalists
are influenced by their emotions and identification as a fan of a team. The results of this
research show that sports broadcasters, although they acknowledge their identification as
Deportivo Cuenca fans and try to maintain impartiality in their narratives, their speeches reflect
biases that are detectable through discourse analysis. Therefore, it is critical that broadcasters
continue to develop and implement strategies to mitigate these biases and ensure an unbiased
and balanced sports narrative. |
| Description: | Dentro de la labor del periodista deportivo se destaca la narración de eventos deportivos, la
transmisión de emociones y la conexión con las audiencias, pero, sobre todo el mantener
discursos imparciales y sin sesgos por más que estos tengan una identificación o afinidad
para un equipo u otro. Los relatos deportivos corren el riesgo de ser influenciados por estas
preferencias, por ello, este estudio buscó determinar si los discursos narrativos de los
periodistas deportivos son influenciados por sus emociones e identificación como hincha de
un equipo. Los resultados de esta investigación dan a conocer que los locutores deportivos,
aunque se reconozcan su identificación como hinchas del Deportivo Cuenca e intentan
mantener la imparcialidad en sus relatos, sus discursos reflejan sesgos que son detectables
mediante el análisis de discurso. Por tanto, es fundamental que los locutores sigan
desarrollando y aplicando estrategias para mitigar estos sesgos y asegurar una narración
deportiva imparcial y equilibrada. |
