Abstract:
The present monograph revolves around two categories of vital importance for the understanding of the exercise of teaching: school biography and teaching practice. It is intended to show how the experiential knowledge left by the school biography influences the actions of the teacher based on the review and bibliographic analysis.
In the first place, the traces of the school journey are investigated: beliefs and conceptions and how they are configured in mental models that are implicitly recorded in the cognitive structure of the teacher. Then, it is specified what the teaching practice consists of: the knowledge and dimensions that constitute it; In addition, as the review of these factors allow to configure the reflective teaching practice. After the analysis of the two categories, it is shown how the school biography influences the teaching practice specifically in the construction of the identity and the role of the educator; It is also explained how the knowledge that the teacher possesses affects the dimensions of teaching practice.
Finally, it is concluded that the teacher's school biography has a strong influence on their professional practice because it allows to glimpse the traces of the past (mental models: beliefs and conceptions) and how they direct their way of thinking, feeling and acting in the classroom
Resumen :
La presente monografía gira en torno a dos categorías de vital importancia para la comprensión del ejercicio de la docencia: la biografía escolar y la práctica docente. Se pretende mostrar como los saberes experienciales que deja la biografía escolar influyen en el accionar del docente a partir de la revisión y análisis bibliográfico.
En primer lugar, se investigan las huellas del trayecto escolar: creencias y concepciones y como estas se configuran en modelos mentales que son grabados implícitamente en la estructura cognitiva del docente. Luego, se precisa en que consiste la práctica docente: los saberes y dimensiones que la constituyen; además como la revisión de estos factores permiten configurar la práctica docente reflexiva. Después del análisis de las dos categorías se muestra como la biografía escolar influye en la práctica docente específicamente en la construcción de la identidad y el rol del educador; también se explica cómo los saberes que posee el maestro afectan las dimensiones de la práctica docente.
Finalmente, se concluye que la biografía escolar del docente tiene una fuerte influencia en su práctica profesional pues permite vislumbrar las huellas del pasado (modelos mentales: creencias y concepciones) y como estas direccionan su manera de pensar, sentir y actuar en el aula de clases
