Efecto de la lateralidad mediante un programa de juegos tradicionales para mejorar el rendimiento matemático en estudiantes de 3ro de EGB elemental

Abstract

The present work has as a primary purpose to know the effect that laterality can have with respect to academic performance in the subject of mathematics, where it is considered to carry out an experimental investigation, with the purpose of improving laterality and its mathematical performance, said sample is conformed by 17 students belonging to the third "A" of E.G.B of the U.E, Dora Beatriz Canelos of the city of Cuenca, of the elementary sub-level, with ages between 7 to 8 years old. In the first instance, laterality will be evaluated by means of the Test "Of Lateral Dominance" created by Harris to have a starting point with the intention of determining their laterality, in the same way we will seek to obtain the summative evaluation grades of the first quarter of the school year 2021-2022 of the subject of mathematics, to know the initial performance, finally the aforementioned program will be applied during the Physical Education classes. This program yielded as a positive result, an effective relationship by obtaining an already defined laterality, with respect to the optimal performance in mathematical performance, maximizing their knowledge in a playful way, through the program of traditional games, which was adapted according to the need of the population group
