Actualización del inventario de atractivos turísticos del cantón Cuenca con la metodología del Ministerio de Turismo, 2018

Abstract

This project addresses the inventory updating of tourist attractions in Cuenca canton, using the methodology of tourist attractions promulgated by the Ministry of Tourism. In the first instance, a diagnosis of the territory and the tourism system was carried out using secondary information. Subsequently, 92 tourist attractions and 14 resources were registered; from this information they were weighted and put in hierarchies according to the methodological criteria. Then the attractions were associated and the tourist space was typified. In addition, a focus group of experts was conducted with a focus on the hierarchy of attractions, since the data sheet proposed by the Ministry of Tourism has inconsistencies in weighting. Conclusions and recommendations are finally issued
