Propuesta de un sistema de planeación y control de la producción en la empresa de calzado "Mach"

Abstract

The Ecuadorian industry has been growing and the circumstances to improve competitiveness and speed of decision making require the use tools of industrial engineering. Objective: To Propose a Production Planning and control system for the shoe company "MACH" with the benefit of bringing a sustainable development. Specific objectives: - To identify the existing method of the company to Production Management and Planning. - To identify and develop best forecasting method for the company. - To develop the S&OP (Sales and operations planning). - To develop the Master Production Schedule (MPS). - To develop the Material Requirements Planning (MRP). - To develop Purchasing Planning and management. Methods: We conducted a structured observation, a field study and treatment of historical data using computer tools. To get other data, formats to be made: time-motion study, Bill of Materials (BOM) and product roadmaps of the products analyzed. Results: Using this tools the data were organizated, giving important information. It was concluded how demand behaves by analyzing historical data and defined the forecasting method. The form was proposed to make the S&OP, the MPS, getting information about the workshop capacity, to know how much to buy and to propouse a control plan for the workshop.
