Aplicación de Prácticas Sostenibles según la norma Smart Voyager Express para el alojamiento El Prado Glamping, Saraguro, Ecuador

Abstract

The hotel and tourism industry have a direct connection with sustainability, as they are responsible for the use of the services used by tourists. In case of poor planning in their activities, they could contribute to environmental damage, especially in accommodations immersed in nature. This titling work will evaluate the current situation of El Prado Glamping and its relationship with sustainability, analyzing its environmental impact on the community of El Tablón in Saraguro, Loja. To carry out this work, a diagnosis of the sustainable situation is carried out using the PESTEL and SWOT matrices. In addition, it will be used as a reference to the Smart Voyager Express Standard, evaluating the business, socio-cultural and environmental spheres. Based on the analysis, several proposals for improvement will be made for each of the areas, which will benefit glamping, the community and the local economy. Once glamping decides to implement these proposals, it will become a benchmark for the rest of the accommodations in the province. It is also expected to optimize its resources through appropriate sustainable management, improving its services and raising its quality.
