Habilidades sociales en mujeres víctimas de violencia de género que reciben atención en la Fundación María Amor en el periodo 2020-2021

Abstract

Social skills guide the human being to relate positively and assertively with other people, because they allow satisfactory adaptation to different conditions, in the case of lack of social skills, discomfort is generated, to not be able to respond to the demands for the limitation of social experiences. Therefore, this research aims to describe the level of social skills presented by women victims of gender violence treated in the Maria Amor Foundation. The study used a quantitative approach, of non-experimental design, with a descriptive scope and crosssection, working with a population of 50 women aged between 18 and 55 years. The tools used were the sociodemographic tab and the Social Skills scale of Gismero. Once the information was collected, the data were processed and analyzed in Excel, obtaining mostly a low level in the six factors and in the global level of social skills. In addition, the variables age, education, marital status and socioeconomic status were crossed with low levels. In conclusion, living in a context of gender violence hinders the development of social skills
