| Abstract: | This present project shows the process of preparing five arrangements of songs taken from the book "Yaravíes Quiteños" for the woodwind quintet format. The work carries out a research about the yaravi genre, the book “Yaravíes Quiteños”, the arranging techniques, the woodwind quintet and the sound combination of the instruments. The selected pieces: “Yupaichisca”, “El Llanto”, “El Mayordomo”, “El Yumbo” and “El Masalla”, were modified in structure, melody, rhythm and harmony through the application of arranging techniques, which are analyzed in this project. The objective of this research is the recovery of Ecuadorian works and their insertion in the repertoire of contemporary ensembles, in order to strengthen the Ecuadorian musical identity. |
| Description: | El presente proyecto de titulación muestra el proceso de elaboración de cinco arreglos de canciones tomadas del libro “Yaravíes Quiteños” para el formato de quinteto de vientos madera. El trabajo realiza una investigación sobre el yaraví, el libro “Yaravíes Quiteños”, las técnicas arreglísticas, el quinteto de vientos madera y la combinación sonora de los instrumentos. Las obras seleccionadas: “Yupaichisca”, “El Llanto”, “El Mayordomo”, “El Yumbo” y “El Masalla”, fueron modificadas en la estructura, melodía, ritmo y armonía a través de la aplicación de técnicas arreglísticas, las cuales son analizadas en este proyecto. El objetivo de esta investigación es la recuperación de obras ecuatorianas y su inserción en el repertorio de los ensambles contemporáneos, con el fin de fortalecer la identidad musical ecuatoriana. |
