La razón vital de Ortega y Gasset, como crítica al sin sentido de la razón cartesiana

Abstract

Descartes is the one who reaches the subject, however, affirms the thought about existence, creating a purely rational sense of reality. The Vital Reason of Ortega y Gasset, no longer seeks clear and distinct ideas, which lead to a purely virtual world, but instead redirects that virtuality into enforceability, that way the self and the world are united. Life and reason is Ortega's proposal; being the reason as a tool for life. Through reason, the vital situation will be interpreted, that is, the circumstance and then with this interpretation it will save it, in which the subject is immersed. Life is given to the human being in a given context, the subject is immersed in a world in which he has to manage, that is, it has to make sense. Then the self cannot be understood as detached from what is not me, but the self and the circumstance are two ingredients that make up life. The self has the capacity to choose, so you have to look for a sense that guides you in the face of the disorientation of the constant becoming of life, and helps you find your true needs and not be in the fictitious needs, so being human seek to live a true life with its own meaning instead of a fictitious one.
