Análisis de las tradiciones populares en el cantón El Tambo. La Tunda Margarita y El Danzante Cañari

Abstract

The present research is a ethnographic perform, in this one has been studied El Danzante Cañari and La Tunda Margarita these are traditional characters in festivals of the cantón El Tambo belongs to the Cañar province, with the purpose to know their beginnings, the features, their involvement in different festivals, their organization, the places where they appear, also how is their clothes and gastronomy that used to accompany in the various celebrations which take place in the cantón, among other things.

For the purpose of this study was used the ethnographic method of gathering and analyzing the information and techniques like the participant observation, which one was recorded videos, taking pictures, were made interviews and recordings. In addition to using of bibliographic information as books, reports, magazines, images (these ones were yielded for the people who lives in the place of the investigation) newspapers and websites that were as a reference.

Finally in the present study was established a general situation of the cantón with social and economic aspects. Moreover to determining the historical context and geographic of the figures of the investigation that give birth and importance, furthermore was found the degree of importance of both traditions inside of cantón and the changes generated that they have suffered as time goes by.
