Prevalencia puntual de las infecciones nosocomiales en el Hospital Vicente Corral Moscoso de la ciudad de Cuenca, 2003

Abstract

It is a point prevalence study conducted at the Vicente Corral Moscoso Hospital of Cuenca. On July 23, 2003, all departments of the hospital are crossed, data from 97 patients were obtained and proceeds to determine: point prevalence of hospital infections, the most common sites of infection, associated risk factors, involuntary germs and time hospital stay. The point prevalence of nosocomial infection is 15.4. The areas most affected were: 33 clinical, neonatal ICU 26,66y 20The most infections are found in skin / integument, respiratory and urinary tract. Risk factors
