Conocimiento sobre el programa de tamizaje neonatal de las madres que acuden a consulta externa del Hospital Vicente Corral Moscoso. Cuenca, 2014

Abstract

The tamizaje neonatal is a program implemented at world level to detect congenital pathologies of the metabolism in newly born that can lead to illnesses like: Congenital Hipotiroidismo, Fenilcetonuria, Galactosemia and Suprarenal Congenital Hiperplasia. In our city it has not been evaluated the grade of knowledge that you/they have the mothers on this program, by what is convenient, to determine how they acquired the knowledge on this topic the mothers that go to External Consultation of the hospital "Vicente Corral Moscoso." The study has as objective to determine the knowledge on the program of the tamizaje metabolic neonatal in the mothers that go to the External Consultation of the hospital "Vicente Corral Moscoso" of the city of Cuenca 2014. The investigation was descriptive, of traverse and quantitative court because we analyze the data in a numeric way. One worked with an infinite universe that includes the mothers that went to External Consultation in the months of July, August and September of the one 2014. The observation and a form elaborated by the authors was applied, the data were processed and analyzed in Microsoft Word, Excel and in S.P.S.S. Results: It was determined that the one 55.3% of mothers knows the program Tamizaje Neonatal and the one 44.7% ignores it, the age of the mothers oscillates between the 20 and 24 years with a percentage of 32.3%, the instruction level is secondary equivalent to the one 50.7%. An ignorance of 83% exists about the illnesses that it is detected, as the time that surrenders the results.
