Utopía y realismo: confluencias y discrepancias entre Bolívar Echeverría y otras tendencias filosóficas

Abstract

Since the collapse of the Socialist bloc, issues related to social transformations, whether from utopian perspectives or from realistic parameters, were marginalized from political reflections and debates, due to the global and unipolar positioning of neo-liberal capitalism. Now, this world order is going through a serious civilizational crisis, so that in the 21st century there is an urgent need to reposition proposals for social change, under realistic bases and without detracting from utopian horizons, that favor the materialization of the dream of a democratic, pluralistic, egalitarian, emancipated and solidary world. For this purpose, it is not appropriate to ignore philosophical-scientific works, duly delimited in the substantial contributions of Bolívar Echeverría, who knew how to deepen acutely on revolutionary processes, based on realism and utopia. Consequently, the purpose of this paper is to generate an analysis, from a hermeneutic methodology, on specific postulates of Echeverría on the subject, in comparison with other contributions.
