Utopía BV3, anteproyecto urbano arquitectónico de un equipamiento tipo en el barrio vulnerable Narancay Alto Centro, en la ciudad de Cuenca

Abstract

This project arises from the lack of public spaces and facilities in the vulnerable areas of Cuenca, such as the Narancay Alto Centro neighborhood. Therefore, the proposal involves designing a preliminary project for an urban architectural facility called "UTOPÍA" with a standard architectural program. To carry out this project, a thorough preliminary analysis is necessary. The methodology used combines quantitative and qualitative techniques to understand the needs and vulnerabilities of the neighborhood, with the goal of designing a preliminary project that can effectively address these issues. There is a clear social gap between the peripheral neighborhoods and the consolidated area of the city, which motivated the proposal for the "UTOPÍA Network" program. This program will feature an architectural design that offers social, cultural, sports, and recreational services. The objective is to create a high-quality, inclusive public space that contributes to fostering social cohesion and security in the area. The aim is to quantitatively assess the effects that this design may have on the residents' quality of life using specific indicators.
