Estilo de apego y satisfacción sexual relacionado con la funcionalidad familiar en el personal de salud de los servicios de neonatología y alto riesgo obstétrico del Hospital Carlos Andrade Marín. Quito, 2023

Abstract

The current research compares the existing connection of attachment style and sexual satisfaction of the couple within the context of household functioning; with the objective of promoting the comprehensive growth of the family unit by strengthening emotional relationships, responsibilities and limitations. Objective: Determine the relationship between Attachment style and Sexual Satisfaction with the family functionality of the health personnel of the Neonatology–High Obstetric Risk services of HECAM; 2023. Method: Quantitative study, observational – analytical design. We worked with 151 officials, applying the sociodemographic survey, CaMir-R Attachment Questionnaire, Sexual Satisfaction Inventory and the FF–SIL Instrument (Perception of Family Functioning). SPSS software was used for statistical analysis and the chi-square test was determined for correlation. Results: 6 out of 10 were young adults who worked in the Neonatology Area and 9 out of 10 were married women. Secure attachment was the most frequent with 51% of the cases. 94% were categorized as having a low level of sexual satisfaction, with a moderately functional family circle in 59.6%. There was no statistical relationship between sexual satisfaction and family functionality. Conclusion: The research sample consisted mostly of married women who worked in the Neonatology service. No notable relationship was detected between levels of sexual satisfaction and family functioning.
