Abstract

The Toledo family's housing design proposal stands out for the innovative use of maritime containers as the main structure, delving into the conceptualization and implementation of the scheme and thoroughly examining a single-family home in terms of characteristics, typology and anthropometric aspects, defining the concept, types and technical specifications of maritime containers and their various applications in housing with a special focus on the renovation of modern homes. The spatial diagnosis phase addresses the position, location, sunlight and wind through a thorough analysis of the terrain, photos and reference research, starting the proposal with the definition of the problem through the family empathy map and promoting creativity with panels of mood, styles and concepts supported by flowcharts and breakdowns, while the design stage includes detailed plans, sections, elevations, renderings and construction details, together with a budget analysis, culminating in a reflective conclusion on the process and achievements achieved , offering together a detailed vision of the design proposal for the Toledo single-family home that fuses theoretical and practical concepts to achieve a constructive and functional approach.
