| dc.description | Varias investigaciones sugieren que el fracaso de los implantes en gran medida está relacionado a factores biológicos. Para el paciente sano se han reportado grandes tasas de éxito, incluso de hasta el 100%, pero este puede disminuir por la presencia de distintas condiciones sistémicas que van a alterar la oseointegración, por ejemplo tratamientos médicos como quimioterapia, radioterapia, bifosfonatos intravenosos, así como también distintas enfermedades que alteran la cicatrización ósea como la diabetes mellitus, hipotiroidismo, osteoporosis, etc. El propósito de este artículo es realizar una revisión sobre las contraindicaciones absolutas y relativas para la colocación de los implantes dentales. | en_US |
