Diagnóstico del emprendimiento social. Una visión panorámica de la ciudad de Cuenca

Abstract

Research on social entrepreneurship has gained importance in recent years, however, there is still a lack of theoretical and statistical information since there is no clear concept of the meaning of social entrepreneurship, causing confusion with the term. Seeking to contribute to research advances, this research project aims to identify and analyze aspects such as: the concept of social entrepreneurship, the determining factors and other relevant terms to understand it, as well as identify and evaluate the location of social entrepreneurship located in the Cuenca city. For

this, the scientific articles available in the different databases were reviewed, in addition, a semi- structured interview to social entrepreneurship was carried out and contrasted with the database

provided by the ELANET project, a spatial descriptive analysis was made with the objective of georeferencing in Cuenca to social entrepreneurship. From the results it was possible to appreciate the evolution and perception of social entrepreneurship, helping to reduce the theoretical misunderstanding about conceptualization, what it entails, that people can understand and identify social entrepreneurship. It is proposed for future research to continue with broader quantitative research on social entrepreneurship.
