| Abstract: | In children, nutritional status constitutes the basis for sustainable progress and poverty
reduction, for which nursing staff have the necessary skills and knowledge to fulfill their
competencies in care, management and transversal functions that allow promoting strategies,
create plans to strengthen care and precise knowledge to improve eating habits, thus
improving the health of the population.
OBJECTIVE: to analyze nursing skills in malnutrition in children from 0 to 5 years of District
01D03, 2022.
METHODOLOGY: quantitative descriptive study, with a sample of 94 nursing professionals
from District 01D03. For data collection, a survey and the ECO-Enf instrument were applied,
which was adapted to child malnutrition based on the comprehensive child care guide with
linguistic validation by academic peers. The analysis was performed with the SPSS-v15.0
program.
RESULTS: it was obtained from the 94 nursing professionals who work in District 01D03,
60.6% are 24-29 years old, 79.8% female, 75.5% practice their profession in a time average
of 0 – 5 years and 5.3% have master's degrees.
CONCLUSIONS: the level of general nursing skills to address malnutrition at the first level of
care in District 01D03 is high, prevailing transversal functions, in addition, the care function is
perceived as very good and with limited management functions. |
| Description: | En los niños, el estado nutricional constituye la base para el progreso sostenible y disminución
de la pobreza, por el cual el personal de enfermería tiene las habilidades y conocimientos
necesarios para cumplir con sus competencias en las funciones asistencial, de gestión y
transversal que permite promover estrategias, crear planes para fortalecer los cuidados y
conocimientos precisos para mejorar los hábitos alimenticios logrando así mejorar la salud de
la población.
OBJETIVO: analizar las competencias de enfermería en la malnutrición en niños de 0 – 5
años del Distrito 01D03, 2022.
METODOLOGÍA: estudio cuantitativo descriptivo, con una muestra de 94 profesionales de
enfermería del Distrito 01D03. Para la recolección de datos se aplicó una encuesta y el
instrumento ECO-Enf, el cual adaptado a la malnutrición infantil basado en la guía de atención
integral infantil con validación lingüística por pares académicos. El análisis se realizó con el
programa SPSS-v15.0.
RESULTADOS: se obtuvo de los 94 profesionales de enfermería que laboran en el Distrito
01D03, el 60,6% tienen edades de 24 – 29 años, el 79,8% de sexo femenino, el 75,5% ejerce
su profesión en un tiempo promedio de 0 – 5 años y el 5,3% tiene maestrías.
CONCLUSIONES: el nivel de competencias generales de enfermería para atender la
malnutrición en el primer nivel de atención del Distrito 01D03 es alto, prevaleciendo las
funciones transversales, además se percibe como muy buena la función asistencial y con una
limitación en las funciones de gestión. |
