Conocimientos, actitudes y prácticas sobre farmacovigilancia y RAM en internos rotativos medicina Universidad de Cuenca periodo 2019

Abstract

BACKGROUND: worldwide here are significant deficiencies in knowledge about pharmacovigilance and adverse drug reactions (ADR), however, the attitude and predisposition for this field is good. Therefore, is essential need to raise awareness about the importance of pharmacovigilance and the report of ADR to improve safety in patient care. GENERAL OBJECTIVE: determine knowledge, attitudes and practices on pharmacovigilance and RAM in the rotating medical interns of the University of Cuenca period 2019. METHODOLOGY: an observational descriptive study conducted on 212 rotating medical interns of the University of Cuenca, 166 met the inclusion criteria, which were characterized by age and sex. RESULTS: average age was 24 years, the female sex predominated (59.6%). 61.4% have regular knowledge, lack the ability to perform certain activities in FV and ADR notification, however, the predisposition is adequate. CONCLUSIONS: the regular knowledge in FV and ADR interferes in the attitude and development that medical interns can have in daily practice.
