Abstract

The purpose of this article is to generate an approach to the religious community of “Oblate Mothers of the Heart of Jesus and Mary of Cuenca, Ecuador" at the end of the 19th and in the first half of the 20th centuries through a historical and chronological overview of the Oblate Congregation and the Mothers who excelled in musical work. In the same way, an approach to musical archive is carried out and the selected work is called Misa del Santísimo written by the composer A. Pauta as a case study to finally propose a critical edition for voices and keyboard.
