Modelo de gestión participativo para el museo de la ciudad de Cuenca con enfoque turístico

Abstract

The current intervention work comes from the need to propose a new Management Model focused on the tourism for the Museo de la Ciudad de Cuenca, which includes cultural factors, citizen participation and Cuenca citizens’ identity. The intervention was done by analyzing values as well the offer and demand, in order to know the current situation of the property. The research, based on a qualitative and quantitative approach, determinated several limitations in the museographic, cultural and tourist management of the property. After the architectural restoration of the property, the lack of citizen participation and use of its space are part of the main problem that is still present in the museum.
