Factores relacionados al esquema de vacunación incompleto en el Subcentro de Salud Barrial Blanco, 2017

Abstract

BACKGROUND: according to the World Health Organization, every year two to three million deaths from immunizable diseases are prevented. Significant progress has been achieved in vaccination coverage; however, 21.8 million infants worldwide still do not receive the basic vaccines (1). OBJECTIVE: To determine the factors related to the incomplete vaccination scheme at the "Barrial Blanco" Health Sub - center, 2017. METHODOLOGY: Quantitative research carried out in the "Barrial Blanco" Health Sub-center, with a sample of 118 caregivers of children aged 6 to 60 months, who were asked the questionnaire and asked for a vaccination card to determine the coverage with the information collected in the database prepared in the statistical package SPSS version 22 was analyzed inferentially and descriptively, presenting the results in frequency tables. USE OF RESULTS: Caregivers of the majority of the parents (58.5%), occupation of housewife (32.2%), single women (34.7%) and 64.4% have a baccalaureate; 94.9% were ever denied the vaccine; in children aged 2 to 6 months the OPV and pneumococcus had coverage of 90.7% and 97.5%, respectively; in the year-old vaccines, DPT and OPV reinforcement maintained coverage of 65.3%; 16.9% of the caregivers did not receive information on the adverse reactions, 5.9% of the notebooks were late but complete
