Abstract

The present research work gives to know the profile of the tourists that visit the city of Cuenca, influenced by its recognition as Cultural Heritage of Humanity, with the final purpose of determining what are the psychographic characteristics, socio-economic and demographic of the tourists. Once this information is obtained, is possible that it can be applied to create and offer products and services commensurate with the needs and demands of cultural tourists who visit the city. Finally done a comparison between the national tourists and foreign tourists, with the final purpose of properly segment these two market niches and learn what the real motivations are when they visit the city.
