| Abstract: | An adequate hydrological study is essential for the development and subsequent construction of entire engineering project, be it vial constructions, water supply, agriculture and others.It is useful to know the relationship between the distribution, intensity and frequency of rainfall in order to provide control actions of maximum events in any project.The objective of this research is that analyzing the spatial and temporal variability of rainfall and its intensity, develop expressions for zoning intensities.This from the processing, validation, and subsequent analysis of instant information collected at different volume scales.Obtaining the expressions of frequencies, will allow us generate information in areas where there are no precipitation data and to describe more accurately the spatial temporal variability that this presents.
The latest study by the INAMHI in 2015 allowed to divide Ecuador into 72 zones, each with its intensity equation, however, since each area covers too large an area, this research aims to create a more discreet division in the area located in the high middle basin of river Paute, allowing a more realistic study of rainfall in the sector. Was used the instant information of 18 rainfall stations, with an average duration of 13 years.These stations are monitored by: ETAPA EP, INAMHI and PROMAS University of Cuenca.Using statistical interpolation methods, it was concluded in the division of the high middle basin of river Paute in 14 areas, taking in each, the equation of intensity of the most representative station on the sector |
| Description: | Un adecuado estudio hidrológico es primordial para la elaboración y posterior construcción de todo proyecto de ingeniería, sea este vial, de abastecimiento de agua, agrícola entre otros. Es conveniente conocer la relación existente entre la distribución, intensidad y frecuencia de las precipitaciones a fin de prever acciones de control ante eventos máximos. El objetivo de esta investigación es que, observando la variabilidad espacial y temporal de las precipitaciones y sus intensidades, elaborar expresiones para la zonificación de intensidades. Esto a partir del procesamiento, validación, y el posterior análisis de la información instantánea recolectada en diferentes escalas volumétricas. La obtención de expresiones de frecuencia, permitirá generar información en zonas donde no existan datos de precipitación, además de conocer con mayor precisión la variabilidad espacio temporal que presenta.
El último estudio realizado por INAMHI (2015), permitió dividir al Ecuador en 72 zonas, cada una con su ecuación de intensidad, sin embargo, dado que cada zona engloba un área demasiado grande, la presente investigación pretende crear una división más discreta en la zona ubicada en la cuenca media alta del Río Paute, permitiendo un estudio más real de precipitaciones en el sector. Se empleó información de 18 estaciones pluviométricas, con duración media de 13 años, monitoreadas por: ETAPA EP, INAMHI y PROMAS Universidad de Cuenca. Usando métodos de interpolación estadística, se concluyó en la división de la cuenca media alta del Río Paute en 14 zonas, tomando en cada una de ellas, la ecuación de intensidad de la estación más representativa del sector. |
