Abstract

The research work called Recovery cañari loom technology and iconographic study of cañaris belts; application and aesthetic upgrade, focuses on the deep study of images from cañaris strips, through analysis and study of andean thought, cultural practices and clothing. The definition and classification of the belt respond to a process of observation, consultation and coexistence with people who make and use this piece of vital importance, the use of which would come before colonization. This paper defines the main representations, besides protecting a conservation proposal symbology and tissue, applying them in the creation of artistic experimentation tapestries with knots and textures in square loom.
